In Retrospect.....

In retrospect to the TBI bashings in the "other" forums, I supply a breath of fresh air.

Maybe some people will get off their high horses and see the potentials of TBI induction. The more people that work with it and make it work, are the ones that make it happen.
I'm sick of the TBI bashing.
There IS a tremendous amount of potential with it.

I spent a good two hours reading stuff in there, and I've found the reasons why the bashing goes on and on. It's amazing how little has been done with such a promising system. I'd recommend that everyone to just take a look and see what it's all about. Really good informative reading.

And maybe, just maybe we can do something about it. I'm working hard on my part. Success is what WE can do ourselves.
The mess on the engine board just shows how much BIAS we have to go against. I'm in this for myself. I'm doing what I think is the right thing to do, and the most economical and practical way as well.
We have to look and see the limitations that were put on our cars in the first place, and this is what the whole misconception of TBI is all about. There really is no comparison between TBI and Carb systems.
The only thing that is similar is the way the fuel goes into the motor. It is a wet system. For all the misconception, I do stress very highly that people please take a look and see what this is about. Even those that have Carb and TPI systems.
It explains a lot.

Great Site!

people can bash the TBI & the 305 all they want, all that matters is I know that it is the right combo for my daily driven RS. My TBI equipped 305 has plenty of power for it's intended purpose.

Black Echo's old page. I think you just shot yourself in the foot.

Next thing you know, it will be a criticism about the information that is clearly posted there too.
Read a little, maybe you will learn something. Even if you have no plan to go with TBI.
It's good reading all around.

And who in the heck is "Black Echo?" Are you trying to say SR-71 Blackhawk with the 400HP 305 or whatever? Give me a break!

Im not going to bash TBI because I plan on useing it, but that site is old.. WAY OLD, and Black Echos info was so good that he gave up on his own TBI Formula, bought a 406 IROC, sold it, and has dropped out of the thirdgen scene altogether.

You must be new so I'll forgive you. Black Echo used to preach about how wonderful TBI is. He never actually did anything to his car to mod it except buy a 12 sec lingenfelter camaro. In other words he was a bench racer. Except his bench racing included 4 page novels and began "it was the best of times(for a tbi), it was the worst of times(for a v-8)"
I hope you aren't refering to me when you say read a little and you will learn something. My tbi car would smack your formula around like a b*tch and I will still say tbi 'sucks.' But it doesn't suck until you get in to the 13's.
