The Plan for the TBI Challenge

ok gang, here is teh basc plan.
some of the local guys are already working on their stuff a bit. we will start with teh more serious stuff on june 21st.
i talk ed to jon and the best plan we can come up with is tha tover the course of the summer as guys can make it here we will do the more time consuming stuff over teh weekends starting friday the 21st. for the local guys or anyone who wants to do a little data logging adn stuff liek that we will be doing soem stuff at night during the week.
towards teh end of the summer, prolly late august, we will find a weekend for everyone to come out and we will have a TBI b-b-q and final tunign session on saturday and find an all day test and tune at one of jersey's 3 tracks on sunday to get our final numbers and let everyone see all teh different results from a variety of combos.
as you guys get to teh track, let us know your mods and et/mph. if your track lists teh weather on teh time slip that will be helpful too so we can correct the times to standard conditions for better comparison.

thanks
tim

all updates will be posted here, this will allow evberyone to see any schedules or plans we have and also avoid the problems associated with trying to keep everyoen up to date with a mailing list.

I head to LA area for tournaments all the time. Plus my brother is now moving to HB, so all I need is a reason to jump in the car and cruise out.

Isn't there a gathering happening in Vegas soon?

Any Military bases nearby, NJSpeeder? I'd rather not pay for civilian hotels...

Hmm.. Are we going to do any chip burning? I'd like atleast an education on some of the tables. I have tunercat, just do not know where to begin...

Thanks NJSpeeder,

well gang, i started work on teh first tech article/ mod for the big challenge. i am gonna prepare a home ported and gasket matched stock intake.
only a few more weeks until all this gets serious. i will start posting times and dates that we plan to be working. everyone who knows how long mods normally take shoudl be ready to spend a little extra time since we are attempting to develop so many tech articles at the same time. teh picture and note taking will add soem time to the process.

If you need an extra stock intake, I can bring mine that is lieing around the garage somewhere... Maybe we can all have our 42.8mm TB's ported out to 48mm at some machine shop along with intakes for those who still have the stocker. Could do a before and after at the track . Just a thought.

Count me in as interested. I could probably make the time for one drive down sometime in the last two weekends of August. I'm extremely interested in any combos of mods to increase fuel flow capacity while maintaining driveability.
