lt4 Hot Cam

I wanted to use something a little more than a lt1. Is the lt4 hot cam too much for a LO3? Will the stock heads support the cam if i put new springs in and use 1.5 rockers. I do plan on getting some sr torquers to use with the cam and mabe use 1.6 rockers. I hear even the 58cc torquer 305s need to be milled down to 54cc to maintain good compression. Is this true? Im thinking chip tuning is definitely going to be needed though.

If you want a little more than a LT1 you can get 1.6 rockers or a non-hot LT4 cam. 58cc's are stock so you don't have to mill the torquers. I'd imagine the LT4 hot cam would be too much for a 305 with stock heads. It might be ok with aftermarkets heads, intake, and exaust. I can't say for sure since no one's done it. You can check the carb board if someones done it to a carbed 305.

Yea im going to stick with a lt1 and maybe use 1.6 rockers. For 50 bucks you cant go wrong with the lt1 compared to 120 for that lt4 hot cam.
