Well, I tried to bump my timeing and I don't think I did anything, I rotated the distrib, but nothing happened, I was told the rpm's would go up and when it is where I wanted the car to idle, to stop and tighten the distrib down. But none of that happened, my rpms would go up to 1000rpm but then it would fall again to 750 where it usally is at idle. So whats up, is their a step im missing or am I going about this all the wrong way?

disconnect the timing bypass connector in teh wire loom over the blower motor and use a timing light to time it. Directions should be on the underside of the hood as to what to set the timing to.
I was able to run 7* of timing on a stock motor with 92/93 octane without ping. I think most people can run about 8*, but dont quote me on that one.
