How much do you want to tear into the sonofabitch?

Id say posi and gears (3.42s or 3.73s) would be a great route. An LT1 cam would also help you tons, but thats a big job.

For sure the rear is where you are going to find the most improvement on your car. If you have an auto you need some 3.42's. If it's a stick then 3.73's are looking good for you. If it is an auto you should really think about getting a shift kit. When I had my mini-mouse L03 305 I could spin the tires during the first-to- second shift. Wait on a chip if you are going to mod your engine more. If your not you should look at a stage 2 chip from Jet or Hypertech or Superchip or Granny's Jewelry box.

Definitely recommend the $99 Zexel OEM Posi and 3.42 gears. Much improved my car. It's a great bang for the buck. Then I would go with the LT1 cam.

I would definitely take the camshaft route first....gets more air/fuel into the cylinders over the peanut cam.

Thanks for all the info. Just to let you know that I use this car as my daily driver. If I go with the Posi and gear, how hard is it to install? And How much do you thingk it will cost me? I don't know anything about Posi and Gears.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

cost me 90 bux for somebody to install it. that is with me taking the rear end out of the car and giving him everything he needed to install it. 100 dollars for the posi, 180 for the richmond gears, and 130 for the mega install kit
