No time to tune

I just can't make time to bum a laptop and mess with my timing and fp (see the exhaust board for the only work I've had time to do on the car right now). So, I'm hoping I can find out what spark advance and fp somebody else found to give the best results with a setup generally like mine (mainly w.r.t. the LT1 cam, Edelbrock TBI Performer intake, and headers/3"exhaust). I'm running 8 deg and fp only a touch above stock now.

If you're running this much or more timing, do you need to stick to hi-octane gas (93 or so) to keep knock from setting you back (computer-retarding timing)? How much advance on 87 or 89 do you think is doable?

Thanks to anyone who is willing to share!
