engine swap

What kind of problems would i run in to if i used a 96, 350 vortec motor with alum. heads out of a yukon it is only 100 dolors and runs fine ????in my 91 firebird????other then needing a manifold and some way of hooking up egr provision?

it doesnt have aluminum heads. You can use the Vortec tbi intake if you want EGR.

or you can run a vortec intake for a carburator and use and adpater plate but I don't think any of those have EGR.

im pretty sure they are alum. they looked like it and i could have sworn the ozidered a bit like alum. does

hmmm... i thought those where cast iron. Anyhow. Youll have problems with the induction system. Youll need to burn a prom and get the 65# injectors and intake to get it to work right. Probably not a bad idea to get a 670 cfm holly tbi too. Youll need to plumb a line off your headers/stock exaust crap-ifold to feed the egr if oyu want to use it. Otherwise, its like any other 350
