Car Destroyed, need a new one...
My 1991 TBI Firebird was destroyed on Friday in a multi-car pileup.
I was stopped in traffic when a late-90's Camry rearended me, and bent my rear end (rear wheel wells to trunk) down against the rear tires. The car still runs (I drove it 6ft afterwards, so the fire department could get at the Camry.
So I'm looking for a new 91 or 92... 5.7 or 5.0, less than 100k mi, no visible rust. Formula hardtop preferred, but T/A or Firebird would work too.
What should I expect to pay?

how many miles are on the engine you have presently? You could just move your stuff over to a camaro/firebird with a dud engine. It probably would be the cheapest way to do it and youd know the condition of the drivetrain in advance. My friend (hes on this board somewhere) got a real nice celica all track for only 1800 bux. Another 1500 for a new motor and tranny and he had himself a 220 hp car.
