Has anyone had this problem?
The short length of rubber tubing between the fuel pump and the hard line rotted away inside the gas tank. I figure that either age, alchohol or reformulated fuels did it in.
It was a fun one to diagnose; the line held up good enough to pump a quart of gas into a can up front, but with the pressure gauge installed, it wouldn't even move the needle off the peg.
My question is if anyone else has dealt with this failure, what material hose did you replace the original one with? I don't wanna have to pull the tank ever again!
