What are some symptoms of a bad map sensor?`
The scan tool says I have 11-12" of vacum at idle and the gauge says 18". I am having hard start problems. It won't start unless I hold the gas pedal down just a bit , same hot or cold.

if there is a difference between the gauge, assuming its correct, and the map output then odds are the map is bad.
