hey just curios has anyone gone to the track after headers to see what the gain was? I asked on the exhaust board some say between .2 and .3. Is this right for a tbi. and does anyones headers hit the crossmember?

 

I bought el-cheapo dynomax headers w 2 1/2" collectors and y-pipe(didn't have AIR accomedations, but did have place for 02 sensor) for my 305tbi, with a 2 1/2" exhaust(cat deleted)and a flowmaster, I picked up .55 and 8mph.
pretty good et and mph increase for less that $400.

 

On TBI cars it's a drastic increase in power because it eliminates those horrible flowing manifolds. Even swapping to TPI manifolds and Y-pipe will give a TBI car one to two tenths at least.
