TBI Time Registry: Report Your Times

As I notice everyone getting times and others asking about them, I've decided to make a spreadsheet outlining this. I will update it and post it on the web so that if anyone wants to know the capabilities of TBI we can direct them towards this. So without further adue please post:

Member Name
1/4 Mile Time (Altitude corrected would be nice, but if not then make sure to include your elevation)
1/4 Mile Speed
60'
Temp
Humidity
ATM Pressure
Method (G-tech, track, Tazzo etc.)
Mods Mods Mods and include engine size
Problems (crappy tires, bad spinning etc, you know, excuses )
Comments
Web Site
Any Dyno Numbers You have

This is mainly for Camaros but if you have a Truck or Caprice or whatever I can add you.

If you would like to see more catagories, I can add them, just Personal Message me.

Moderators, If you would like to make this a sticky that would kick a$$. Thanks all

Happy TBI-ing

It might also be useful to add:

engine size (305 or 350 cid)
fuel delivery (TBI, carb etc)
track altitude, above mean sea level

This is mainly for Throttle Body Injected Camaros (I could add a spreadsheet for Caprice's and Trucks though). The engine size thing is usually included with the mods but I will add a column for that just because the mods column can be a little tough to read. I'll add in elevation as well.

Ok, heres the deal. I don't like giving it away, but here ya go. A mild TBI 350 backed by a TH700R4 with a 100 shot puts me in the low 13's. Its not a high revving motor either, I leave it in drive at the strip. The engine has hyperetic pistons, a dual pattern cam with less than .500 lift, much less actually, retarded 6 degrees. An edelbrock intake with the stock TBI modified with larger injectors sits on top of the 2 bolt main block. The reciprocating assembly is balanced. Stock 882 heads hold everything back, and empty into ported stock manifolds leading to a performance cat and a flowmaster 80 series cat back my dad put on. I wish i could try the hooker aerochamber muffler, but the flowmasters sound great. A NOS EFI system provides spray. The chip is a one off piece. The 700R4 has syclone internals and converter, and shifts HARD. Under normal driving the 1-2 shift occurs at 3700 rpms. Kinda hard to be quiet. it stalls a few hundred higher than stock. I love my car, but now its out of service. I got hit by a woman in a minivan, punishing the passenger side. It was totalled, but with less than 4000 miles on the new engine, and the trick shifting automatic, i couldn't let it go. I had to sell the NOS system and the T-Tops to pay to fix the suspension when i bought it back, it now is considerably slower. I ended up selling it to my dad for an unspecified ammount of help and money to get the cutlass back on the road by the time I get my license back in june of 2003. At least its still in teh family. : (

All imports blow, thats why I made the avatar I've had to drive a few honda 4 bangers... and those are the slowest piles of gay I have ever had to sit in

you saved it as a jpg file... in order for it to move it needs to be saved as a gif file... btw, nice kills

330ho crate motor (vortec heads), 212/222 .435/.460, RPM intake, adaptor plate, Holley 670, at the time a stock cop car eprom, SLP try-y headers, !cat, Borla adjustable but at the time it was a Summit brand muffler, 3.73 posi, full stereo/interior, setup for street (lowered, 245/50's, big sway bars, STB), Alston SFCs, and 3/4 tank of 89.
Now I've got a 2800 stall converter but am having troubles hooking up. Still getting 2.1_ 60' times with the 245/50 tread. I definatly need more tire and those LCA rel. brackets.

nate, can you post the rest of this slip please. the numbers don't seem to add up right. to run a 13.2 at only 98mph you woudl have to cut a low 1.7 60ft at least or you woudl have to be well on your way to a 115mph trap speed and lift very early.
please explain.

Oh hehe, that makes a little bit of a difference! Are Typhoon's throttle body injected? Stock Boost? I tried to race a Typhoon once....I lost by just a little....OK OK I got slaughtered.

rare suv, that woudl be a ty, and it is sfi, not tbi. so yer time doesn't really count for this registry.
it is a cool whip though
i always wanted to get a cyclone and take off teh ground effects and put it up to normal ride height so it just looked liek a normal black s-10

later

actually, its CFI, not TBI or SFI. yeah, i know it dont count, but someone else i know posted in here, so i figured i would have some fun

and thats Syclone
yeah, a few people have attempted the "normal" truck look, but you cant achieve the results, cause you need to install 4x4 rims also, and with 4x4 rims come skinny tires, skinny tires = less traction.

TonyC, yes my run was stock boost, 100% stock truck, stock chip, turbo, trans, motor....actually, my intercooler wasnt working at the time either, so i could have went faster.
