Water Pump Options

What are they? I have a coolant leak, and I traced it back to the water pump.

What are my options? Are there performance options available? I just put in a 180* Thermostat. What would a performance water pump do for me?

I also posted this question over in "Cooling it Down", however, I think there's more traffic here.

I need to fix this by tomorrow.

Thanks,

KZad

I just went and got a cheap replacement at autozone. With a 180 degree thermo and hypertech fan switch my car never goes above the 160 mark. I do believe my gauge is off just a tad tho.

Isn't the stage 2 pump aluminum? It's like only $160 or so...but I'm not sure if a car would ever get warm enough to use the heater with an aluminum water pump, 180* T-stat, and a fan switch.

I just got a 24 dollar pump from a parts store and when I had my 160 stat in, it wouldn't get over about 150, hand verified. And then I put in a 180 stat and like TBI305Camaro said, I really don't get past 160.
