After cam swap tuning

I've just swapped in a XE 249 cam in my LO5. dur 206/212 lift 434/444 112 degrees lobe sep. Its in a 95 4x4, 1/2 ton truck, 3.73, 5speed, 33 inch tires. This is the cam comp's cam line gave me for a stock LO5 in a truck. I have the timing set at 6 advanced, and I'm installing a fuel pressure guage right now. It just seems flat when I floor it...it makes lots of noise but its not pulling. I think its not enough fuel? Is there anything else I"m forgeting to better tune my new combo? I was under the impression that this cam was small enough that I wouldn't need prom tuning.

Sorry guys... After I set the valves I put the timing mark at 6*advanced and set the distributer to #1. This is good enough to run the cam in but not too accurate!!! Base timing was 3* retarded!!! Oh well, with 8* advanced 12psi fuel pressure the thing pulls hard till I feel the need to shift! Bone stock LO5 with open element and Flow Master muffler. A cam swap is a must do for anyone with a TBI motor!!!!!
