it will mount and feed to teh tb the same since both use the same accessary brackets. the only question will be th eintake side of the blower. you will have to make or modify some tubing to get the air into the blower since the truck has a ton more space under the hood and will have a different pick up. if i am not mistaken i think you can just put a cone filter onto the blower if you want. i think it mounts sorta on teh side of the motor with just enough room for the filter.

The supercharger will only increase your horsepower by 50%. 170hp *1.5 = 255hp. That is not worth the $3500+ for the supercharger. You are better off $$ wise with a 350 that produces more horsepower without the supercharger.

Ive heard that n2o is alot better for TBI cars...Some guy on this board has a blower on a 305 TBI (maybe its crossfire) but he still runs high 15s...it only knocked a few tenths off his time. Im sure there would be alot more gain if he replaced the cam and heads and of course had a good exhaust. No point of forcing air in if it cant get out.

id say a supercharger isnt worth it... Save your money and invest in a set of good heads and a better cam. Dont have to go nuts with the cam but the tbi cam is pretty much one of the lamest cams under the sun.

Yeah the cam is horrible. You could always get a lt1 cam off ebay for cheap (I got one with 17k for 31$). Soon as I get paid im going to get everything I need for the cam swap and do it over thanksgiving break. I get a discount on all my crap now to since i managed to get a job at advanced

Nitrous would be a cheaper and better alternative for 305 TBI motors.........

I just put an ATI P1SC on a friends Mustang this weekend. This was my first experience with boost so I think I'll share some insight.

We dyno tuned it yesterday. I will say that an engine under boost needs to have everything PERFECT. The power difference from 4* base timing to 10* base timing was 50 hp. Another 30 hp was made by regapping the plugs from .038" to .035". There was also some fuel pressure tweaks in there but I don't know what those were...the guy running the dyno did that. One bad plug wire was causing a HUGE miss under high load, high rpm runs. You could say that this will happen with an NA car, but this was rediculous.

It all comes down to this. I wouldn't boost an car I had to drive everyday. I know there are people who do it, but I like things to be tip-top and keeping them that way would drive me nuts...and I like to tinker with stuff.

I have the same amount of fun running a 100 shot in my IROC. Yeah it's not there all the time but compare $3800 dollars to $500.

I am not saying that boost is a bad thing. It's just a bad investment on a L03. Sure I had a bad experience 6 years ago with a Paxton unit (or should I say 4 units). At that time I didn't know anyone with supercharger experience and the Paxton was $800 cheaper than everything else. Found out why when I ended up replacing one every 10k miles. Paxton covered 2 under warranty and I paid for 2. I never hooked the last one up. I just resold the kit after that. I know that most of the other brands have longer track records but they die too and its not cheap to fix them. But if you combine boost with heads, cam and exhaust like I did it was awesome. But when you go with that kind of power you MUST replace everything in the drivetrain or you will find yourself walking home.
