Tpi Pump

I've been doing searches on this and see the walbro 255 pump recommended, but would a stock 5.7 tpi fuel pump be able to support 350hp with tbi? If not why and do I need the 255 to be able to reach my hp goal? Mike

they might be a little too much for fuel pressure. Stock tbi's run around 11 PSI, TPI pumps run around 45 PSI.

From what I've been reading it shouldn't cause fuel pressure issues, but will it flow enough for 350hp?

Why do you need/want to know? The walbro pump is only $100, unless you get a free TPI pump it's still not worth putting in. The TPI pumps can support a decent amount of power just like a stock TBI pump can support about ~280hp at it's limits. TPI might be a little more, not sure though.
If you're making 350hp which is more than me then get the walbro. I have to get one because this stock pump can't support 18psi, 3rd gear, 3000rpm and climbing under WOT, else I would tell you the stock pump is probably enough .

Pump is $93 here

TPI pumps work fine in TBI cars the pressure regulator is not built into the pump so it maintains TBI pressure.

Good site! I had it bookmarked but I lost it during a format and reinstall of windows 2000.
The TPI pumps will work fine in TBI cars except that they also won't support 350hp unless you're one of the lucky few.
