I just picked up some new toys CHEAP.

Comp cam high energy cam which is a hydrualic flat tapit camshaft, the following specs on it are 218/218 duration, and 454/454 lift. The powerband is from 1500-5500.

*Will be using steel 1.6 rockers.

*Edelbrock performer intake for chevy centerbolt heads, it has the powerband matched to the cam idle to 5500

*STOCK 96 350 center bolt heads, they recieved a valve job about a year ago, they have about 5k on them since the valve job, they also have comp camp springs with the same amount of millege

I'll probally port the heads, they have to be better then my L03 heads!!

What do all of you think?

Only thing I need next is a nice TBI unit and some good headers.

Main reason for the new heads is there is about 170k on the old ones and the valves are leaking.

I'll also be getting a 2.5k stall for the car some time durning winter.

And most likely will be putting the 10 bolt back in with some 3.73 and a nice posi unit.

soudns lie a good combo. just remeber that you need to get different push rods to switch to a flat tappet cam. and make sure to use lots of break in lube on the cama dn let it seat before you really beat on it.
