Gettin Hot under the Collar

I'm going to put a TBI spacer atleast 1" tall. I'm going to remove the collar that is between the TBI and the Aircleaner housing.

There is a hose that runs to the driverside valve cover.
Can I just put a filter in the hole on the valve cover? Is there a better way like cutting a hole in the filterhousing and putting the hose there?

Thanks

That is your PCV system and yes you can just put breathers on the valve covers. It's odd that on an f-body the PCV goes into the TB just above the blades yet with the trucks they use that spacer ring, go figure.

There is a pcv on the pass side that goes to the TBI, below the blades. The other is from the drivers side. and goes to this collar. I was under the impression from a post in the archives that all the TBI's had them. Guess not.
