Heads
Anyone know much about a set of 293 casting heads? They came off of a 327 out of a 1968 Impala.
I know they have 75cc chambers, 1.72 Intake, and 1.50 Exhaust. Would these work on a 305 at all or atleast better than the stock swirl port heads?
Or would it be better to just clean up the 327, and throw the entire motor into the car. I know I would like to do the motor swap but if swapping the heads on to my existing motor would work, I could do that until I get the 327 cleaned up and tuned and can swap it in.
Lemme know what ya think.,

I don't think those heads will work on a 305. If you don't have a problem with the valves fitting you'll have a problem with compression. Stock 305 heads are like 58cc chambers, so going up to 75cc chambers will be a big jump (considering the compression is only 8.6ish to start off with). Besides I think the 305 heads have 1.84/1.5 valves in them.
