OK OK I have read all the post I could find on this subject, so I thought I would take a pole. Although I am pretty sure I will go with a dual snorkel. I want to poll everyone I can to see what they think the best choice is for a 305tbi auto
Open element 14x3 Its cheap and it works well.
Make sure u got the clearance though. I know u will have clearance issues if u have a spacer with a stock hood.
I had a 1" spacer with a 14x2.25" open element and my wingnut started hitting the top of the hood.

Id definetly get the open element. Looks so much better than the ugly *** dual snorkle...the dual snorkle looks like the stock one with an extra inlet...no big deal. that one guys chrome one looks good tho but where do you find one of those at??

I don't think you find them anywhere. You have to have it done by a plating shop. I took mine to Papago Plating here in Phoenix. Took them about 5 days.

Dual snorkel vote from me.
It sounds better, looks more like a sleeper (stock dual snorkel), and flows just enough for my motor. Too bad it doesn't clear the hood without major modifications.

Open element looks better and sucks in plenty of air, but its hot air. If done right, you can suck in plenty of air with dual snorkel and it'll be cool air. Im currently working on my own snorkel setup. Ill post it when im done with it.
