My car had been dying for quite some time and it is finally on its death bed. I just found out that three cylinders are running on very little compression, rear main seal is leaking like a bad faucet, fuel injectors aren't doing very well and to top it all off the transmission is almost dead. Add to this my front end needs to be rebuilt, the shocks, struts and springs are weaker than an old man's knees and my rear end is making odd noises. Oh, almost forgot, and the car is about about 4 shades of blue with black in a couple places and rust is coming through on some parts. I finally realized that the money i would spend fixing the car could be used to buy another camaro in much better condition and i still probably would end up spending less. Also, id be going faster as im probably going to try and get a TPI z-28 or IROC. I had every intention of keeping the TBI car until i learned all this but if i gotta buy a new car i might as well go for a TPI one. I'll still come on the board and keep talking with you guys and help answer some of the silly, newby questions as i have learned quite a bit in the one year i've owned my RS. Its been fun........ tear.

 

dont take this the wrong way but it sounds like POS...take her out to pasture....shoot her in the head dont look back. You should be abl[e to find a nicer camaro with your money instead of fixing that one

try your damndest (is that a word?) to find a l98 car or at least a lb9
