Hey can some one please help me!! I needs the specs for a 89 305 tbi motor, I dont kno that much about the motor and I had it in my 89 rs thats got totaled and I want to work it to about 350hp and put it in my new 91 rs.. What would i have to do to make that motor have that much hp...? please help

ure best bet is to get 350 hp is buy a crate 350.
But if u wanna build the 305 .....

1.6 rockers
3 inch cat back exhaust
slp headers
670 cfm tbi w/ 350 injectors
custom burned chip
intake?? not totaly sure whats the best way to go with that

Thats prob good for about 260 hp.
You can get the other remaining 100 hp with nitrous

 

thatx dude but i dont really wanna run nitrous. i have the motor out of my old car and i am rebuildin it completly and pretty much getting every thing i needs to to get up around 300hp-350hp
and i also needs help on what type oh headers and exhaust i needs to run i wanna go with 3 inch but other then that i dunno

thing is i realy dont think ull be able to hit 350 hp with the 305 tbi. I mean if u get it to around 260 ull be able to hit high 13s with gearing, and a converter.

And exhaust id definitly get a 3 inch catback either flowmaster or hooker is the popular type around here. Headers id say either hooker, or slp.

 

okay well is there any way i could make it a 305 tpi and mabe ram air it.. i would like to run high 12s low 13s is my goal.. what type of cam should i use b/c like i said i am rebuilding the whole motor

You might also want to look into loosing weight on the car........This can increase your times without increased HP...but not very cost effective..............Is your goal high hp numbers, or low track times????
