won't start! any ideas?

I have just finished putting a 2.5 in a 4x4 s truck. the prob is it won't pulse fuel from the injector not the first 5 seconds nada! I've changed the injector with a known good one, checked the fuel pump, working and pumping and even changed the computer and F.P. relay(why i dunno) with ones that were on a good running truck. It still wont run ! I can pour a lil fuel in it it fires right up just got to get this friggin injetion stuff to work. Any help will be appreciated.

I know this isn't third gen but TBI's are prettyy much the same. Anyone got Ideas?

Doesn't, by any chance, have a security system in it, does it?

Are you running the old 2.5 fuel filter(drivers' side, engine bay, by the firewall)?.....if so, it may be clogged.

Run your pump up and disconnect the fuel line from the TBI(CAREFUL! don't wanna' burn the truck down!). See if you've got pressure there. If not, change the filter.....if you do, I don't have a clue!

No it doesn't have VATS(doesn't even have A/C) It has fuel pressure all the way to the injector,it just won't pulse out fuel.

did you just check for the pump to whine when you turn the key on, or did you actualyl check the fuel pressure with a guage?

You might want to throw a new ignition control module as well as a pickup coil at it...also, there are injector fuses. Check those, as well.
