it needs to be plugged. it is not really harmful, but will act as a small vacuum leak.

well on mine i left the hose on the tbi and put a golf tee in the end of the hose. then i tucked the hose and tee up under the air cleaner. worked great and never had any problums with it.

In all honesty, i doubt any gains will be noticable, but it does look nice under the hood. I assume you fefer to the vacuum hose on the airbox so, if i wehre you Id go get vacuum port caps and just plug the port on the tbi. They are sold out alot but you can find them in the help! section at the parts store. Theyre worth their weight in gold when you ahve alot of unused vacuum ports.

I'd plug it also. I used a screw in mine. As for an improvement, Maybe a slight improvement, but nothing to write home about. A 5 to 10 hp gain to me would be optimistic, but in my opinion, not realistic. As for a k&N, get one if only just because you can use them forever.

And I thought I was the only one that used golf tees. L0RD knows they don't do me any good at the golf course.

Plug that hole man. If you leave it unplugged, you'll idle faster but after a while it will leave you stranded at a traffic light. I posed a similar question and was told I think by snflupigus that this was the cause. Since I plugged the hole, no random stall outs at lights or anywhere for that matter. It took a while of cranking and pumping the gas to get the car started again and I went to work and promptly plugged it when I got home.
