I might be wrong on this, but im pretty sure that the holey TBI unit is too much for a 305. You could actually hurt your performance by using it. The stock ones are good up to about 300hp.

Which tb did you buy from Holley? The one with an 1-11/16" bore or the 2" bore one? The smaller one will work fine on a 305, the larger one will take a lot more work. As for which intake you need depends on which tb you have. The smaller tbi will work well on either a Edelbrock or Holley tbi intake or a fourbarrel intake with an adapter plate. If you have the 2" tb then you lose the option of the Edelbrock tbi intake unless you want to bore out the holes to 2"s and thats too much work to be an economical alternative.

I beleive its the one with the 2" bores, but I will return it and get the one with the smaller bores if some1 had the part # for it... Because I would rather go with the edelbrock intake to install because I hear its a breeze. So if yas could get me the part # for the smaller bore unit that would be gr8.. Also my ecu is kinda dead do to wet leaking in on it. Which alt. could I use its a 89 305 L03 engine. Thanx Guys

I would stick with the stock GM TBI unit if I were you. In un-tuned form I'm running 14.77 with a 3500+lb race weight with the stock TBI. Spend your money else where. I agree with the above post that the stock TBI can probably support 300hp of airflow (you will need good ported or aftermarket heads to make that much power in a 305).

YES, all the 746 ECUs are the same, the chip contains the program for your specific combo. Get the ECU and swap in your chip you already have.
