Drop base gains to non drop base gains

Drop base gains to non drop base gains

I bought the edelbrock 14 x 3 drop base open element filter i heard the i should have bought the non drop base so i could of took out the spacer ring does it make that much of a difference with or with out the ring.

I bought the non drop base and then had to buy a 1" spacer for the tbi because the breather wasen't clearing the map sensor bracket also egr.. now with 1" tbi spacer the bottom of the breather just touches the plug for the map..

I'm also using k&n 14x4 element! btw it's on a 1/2 ton truck..
