help..its sick again

my trans am is being retarded again because it doesnt want to for the last week. these are the things that i know arent the problem
- fuel is definately present because i can smell lots and i saw some injected into the throttle body,so nothing with fuel
- installed new rotor/cap/plug wires.
- there is definately spark from the source to the end of the plug wire part that goes on the end of the plug.(plus I used that HEI spark tester , so I don think there is a problem from distributor to end of plug wires.
- I got fed up so i went ahead and at first wanted to change 1 plug ot see what it could tell me was going on, but I went ahead and did changed 5.
*when I took the old ones out, they were really black, not really crusty, but more or less black. ANother thing I noticed that the plugs near the rear of the engine were totally wet with black and it smelt like gas, so i guess those ones had seen their time.*
- then I replaced 5 out of the 8 plugs and thought that it wuld start forsure because there was a fair bit of gas and they were new plugs. But nothing, it just seemed like it almost started but needed the extra 3 cyliners to fire up before actaully STARTING.

So what should I do, go ahead and change the other 3 plugs(near impossible with stock junk in the way)???

try unplugging the injectors and crank the snot out of the engine to dry out the plugs (not more then 20 sec. at a time, youll ruin your starter otherwise). Sounds like you fouled all the plugs out. This happens to me every so often. Its really, really cold and the engine catches but dies immidiatly and when i go to restart it, itll stumble for a few seconds and then nothing. I have to unplug the injectors and dry everything out before it will start again. even after that its hard to keep it running for the first minute or so because eveything ios drenched in gas. After you dry it out, press the gas pedal down slightly before you go to start it, that will help the engine keep going when it finally catches. Maybe one day ill get off my *** and go get a new IAC to replace the defunct one i have now.

oh, if your going to replace those last three (which you should), you might as well replace the others as well with new plugs because theyre fouled out with gas.

it sounds like you could be having a number of problems. if you plugs ae wet then it obviously means they are not firing. and another thing, your old plugs shouldnt be black. a good burning plug should be a tan color and dry. you might want to check your timing, maybe adjust your distributor and see if it will try to run then.
