Caprice L05 vs TBI Truck L05
what would be the difference in these motors?
a freind tells me the Caprice motor has a few more horses but it seems the price is $200 less than the TBI Truck motor.
I currently have a stock L05 in my K5 Blazer and wouldnt mind a few more horses. The GM Vortec motor seemed to be an option as well.
I'm no gearhead and a motor change will be a major event at my house. I am a little scepticle that the vortec motor will need more mechanical knowledge and wonder if its beyond my realm LOL
Any feedback would be good feedback

The caprice had a roller cam with a lil bit higher injector ratings on the cop cars but they all have a common flaw...swirl ports
The vortec would be ur best option the only thing is that u would have to get a vortec intake but the power will be there

Actually the truck motor made 210 hp and 300 ftlbs ( 94-95 made 310 ftlbs , and the most the police 350 ever made was 205 , and and 300 ftlbs ,that was from 92-93 the 91 and earlier made 180 -195 hp and 290 -300 ftlbs ..... not much difference .... but still worth saying
