shouldn't you be asking this on the TPI board? The electronics are *completely* different, so all you'll be using the TBI board for is removal proceedures.. and if you need help gutting out a wiring harness, you shouldn't be doing the swap.

Ive heard that its a pain. you have to change your fuel pump and lines all the way from front to back, is what ive heard. change computer, and intake manifold has to be changed. alot of money and alot of time.

Yeah i did a search and was reading all the problems i think im just going to stick with my good 305 TBI and try to get at least 245 hp out of it then buy a 350 5.7L TPI with more than 100,000 miles and rebuild it i think it would be alot easier than messing with the fuel pump, wiring, ecm.sensors, and all that other crap i think it would be easier to buy a all ready equipped 350 im sure alot less money.

cool. it wouldnt be hard to get 245 out of your 305. if i were you, i would get a 3 inch exhaust. your engine has to be able to breath. from there it will be easy. TPI is a good setup, but for the money and time involved, you could use it for something else and have some serious horsepower.

good call... Just like the tbi system, the TPI intake with its long runners is a dinasoar. Its just about as restrictive to high rpm power as teh tbi is.
