No Fuel to Injectors

I have a problem with my other Camaro. It's a 90 RS 305 TBI 5 speed. One day I was getting ready to go to the store and it was cold out so I started the car to let it warm up. I opened the passenger door to get the ice scraper and when I shut the door, the car died. After doing some investigating, I found that no fuel was comming out of the injectors. I changed the fuel pump, Filter, Injectors, And checked the computer, and still no fuel. What can be left, I'm at a loss, there are no broken wires to the 2 injectors, also I don't see any other breaks in the wiring harness.

maybe the fuel lines are clogged? when you turn the car on do you hear the pump coming on? if so, pull the line off the back of the tbi, or the filter and start the car to see if there is any gas coming out of it

There's a fuel pump relay on the fire wall next to the brake booster, that could be it.

In resopnse to the clogged lines, everything is new, and fuel comes out of the line @ the TBI Unit.

2 questions for 89fastlookinRS:

1. Will the fuel pump still charge up with a bad relay (as in I can here it working)?

2. Does the relay look like a very thin box with 4 wires pluged into 1 end?

Distributor module

Pretty much same thing happened to me. I took my distributor module to advance auto to be checked. It tested good several times. I replaced it anyway and the car fired right up. So I would check that first.

When changing fuel pump, its good practice to drop in a new fuel pump relay as well. The last thing I wanted was my new fp to f up due to a bad relay.

While you're at it you should change the radiator fan relay as well as those usually die around the same number of years.

module sends impulse to ecm

The dist. module sends an impulse to the ecm to tell it to fire the injectors. If there is no impulse, no fuel etc. Dist module is cheap and easy to change. I found this out the hard way also.

Questions:

1. If the fuel pump relay is bad, would I still hear the fuel pump running?

2. What about the pick up coil? Would that have anything to do with no fuel going through the injectors?

Yes pick up coil controls fuel to injectors.

Yes when I said dist. module, I mean same as pickup coil. It definitly controls fuel to the injectors. Like I said previously, mine tested good and was still bad, so I would just buy one. Cost for me was around 30.00. Fired right up after install. as far as the relay, you would not have fuel to TBI if it was bad, also I believe the pump would not energize.

Thank-you, It was the ignition module on the distributor that was bad. Replaced it and it's running like it did before.
