What I THINK he means, is what will those parts do for his car performance wise.
Maybe 10hp at most.
Why is ignition parts expensive? Hell if I know. The way I see it, is they dont build power on their own. (If they do, its minimal.) They help the mix of air and fuel fire, where as the stock system may not have enough ***** anymore to fire consistantly and accurately.

ignition parts(no matter how expensive, or how high performance)they are will only make a difference an a motor that needs them .or they will make a difference when the stock parts are bad..... they are expensive because are dumb enough to pay those prices, and the people who really need them will pay because its worth it then

miacamaro...if you really want to add some inexpensive power to that monster of yours, forget everything you read about high performance parts, etc. Most of that talk is just hype from some corporate marketing department looking to take your hard earned money. The secret to a truly fast car, one that hot rodders have been using for years, and one that hardly anyone will admit to (but I'm gonna let you in on the secret cause you seem like such an intelligent guy) is to paint the cover of your rear differential case a bright color (yellow is very popular around here...some say red is faster). The reduced wind resistance underneath the car from having a slick coat of paint on that baby is equivalent to adding at least 20 HP to your motor. Sure beats that measly 1HP you added by buying all that fancy ignition equipment, doesn't it?
Just to let you know, black is the fastest. It absorbs the sun's heat and converts it into energy and that will add like 50 hp. that coupled with some stickers can knock up to a full second off your times. Just a helpful hint.

Hey miacamaro305... it looks like you are pretty angry about paying for something and not getting much in return.
Hey, thats how I feel now that you have my money and you never sent me my catalytic converter!!

wow, get out the flame suits!
btw, ignition is something you probably won't see much gain on a stock motor, but as you start to modify they more you do , the more important it gets (and if you spray you will be glad you have it)
just chalk this one up to thinking ahead

I know this wasn't the right place to bring it up, but I can't get a hold of this guy to get a straight answer. The few times I have communicated with him its always I'm out of town and I'll do it Monday, or oops my dad and I aren't getting along, or I'll do it tomorrow. Well I still haven't gotten my tracking number yet Alex! I do not want to drag this guys name through the mud, but I've had enough already and I’m not going to just go away!!
By the way… if I ever buy anything over the net again I’m going to look up their posts and see what type of person they appear to be.

I definately noticed and improvement with the open element. And I had noticed much better throttle response with my ignition upgrade, but then again, the stuff on there was 12 years old; and more than likely, the stuff on your 305 LO3 is atleast 12 years old. Don't forget the spark plugs. The best performance gain I've had so far was from a good tune up.

K&N filter in the stock air box got me ~.5 mph and .07-.15 sec at the track.
Open element has never in 3 or 4 different attemps at the track gained me any mph or ET.
