fuel system

hey guys, the AFPR is in the works right now, so i was wondering a couple of things...
1.) should i upgrade the rest of my fuel system (fuel pump, etc.)
2.) with the mods listed in the sig, what recommended fuel pressure should i go with? i was thinkin' 12psi or is that too high?
3.) whats the best way to tune her from now on (the O2 sensor or should i get that g-max thing?)
oh, and i will be adding a 1/2 in. TBI spacer as well as an injector spacer in the very near furture, so please take that into account too.

well, upgrading the fuel pump would be nice, but a big PITA so you might not want to do that if you don't have to.

the suggested fuel pressure is almost imposible to guess, all our cars seem to have diffrent pressure stock, i would start at 12 and go from there. the way i prefer is to use winaldl and datalog. and check my BLMs. if you dont' want to do that or can't, a DVOM on the o2 would work too, and remeber it is better to err on the side of rich.

thanks yo, what other mods would you suggest for the 'maro considering from your avatar you have almost the exact same blue camaro as i the next step after the fuel system, tbi spacer, and injector pod spacer, and a fan switch is either more go fast goodies aor an SS hood.

headers. it looks like you have a cat-back already.

i would also suggest not waisting $80 bucks here, and $60 bucks there, save up you money , and do what it takes to fix these cars. get a pair of heads, and a cam. other than that, anything else you do as a 'mod' is never going to ammount to much because the heads/cam/intake on our cars SUCK. the only mods i would do would be stuff that transfers over (read HEADERS )

gears and posi is also a very nice upgrade.

The walbro is a nice pump but is a real pita. Plus I think it's to much for a stock motor. I'm running one on mine with heads, intake, cam, and headers. Even with custom chip tuning it runs rich. I would wait until you've got some major engine mods done first. That stock pump can handle 240hp. I have a stock regulator as well made adjustable and I can barely keep the fp under 13 psi. Probably need a better spring. Do all the ult. tbi mods before the pump.

ya, i deffinately want to upgrade the "real" parts of our engines (read: cam, intake, heads), but that's going to be next winter's project. my girl's a daily driver so i'm trying to nuke every last bit i can from the set-up with as little down time as possible.
89fastlookinRS how much did your whole intake, cam, heads set-up cost and what could you say she had in the hp adn tq department? also, have you run the girl at the track with that set-up? what times you pullin' with that?
