First Car Show - TBI VICTORIOUS!

Hey guys - this isn't anything technical but it IS tbi related so i hope it'll float for a little while. Tonight I took my car up to Bradley Int'nl Airport in Ct for Mark's Auto-Parts Cruise Night and was blown away. Out of less than 10 third-gens, mine was the only 5.7 TBI car that was clean, fast, and stood out. Out of all the first gen camaro's and flashy mustangs (ok, my car is orange, but...) I'm nearly convinced I had the biggest crowds around my car (1/2 dozen people all the time around it ). There were two really quick cars (one was a 383 carb car and the other had a lingenfelter fuel injected 350 in it) that looked nice, but didn't carry the distinction of using TBI. A bunch of people asked questions about using TBI on a 350 and why "that Z-28 has throttle body injection" - it was great. Thanks to anyone who's ever replied to a post of mine and has thrown me a hand. Its cool to have an exclusive community of guys that are dedicated to helping one another and taking something other than the easy or expensive route.

oh, hehe i failed to mention that she was a Sport Coupe before, but I *think* some Z's did have TBI, so nobody knows now! lol. Oh yah, it was also a riot telling the kid with the 383/drag third-gen that I got 20 mpg. He just kinda looked at the grass and was like "yeah...I get like...8..." haahahahhaha TBI rules.

yeah, well, i've got the IROC badges on my doors and stuff so unless someone was really discerning *ie - some of you guys* i thnk i'm safe. I pulled some kinda rare Z-28 stuff for the car too - i've got that huge headliner console with the flash light and stuff *with T-tops*. Its kinda neat b/c I got to throw some odd things on the car that you normally don't see together. PC guys

Ty

PS - I gotta get some pics....lol
