Vacuum leak below the TPS - 89 350 Suburban

Here is what I have:

89 Suburban, 350tbi. 96 Shortblock, L31 Vortec heads, Edelbrock Performer intake for the Vortec heads, L98 roller cam from a 89 Vette, and a old school Holley TBI-to-squarebore adapter made of aluminum. All the TBI injection is STOCK from the 89 Burb.

I mounted the TBI on the motor, and after getting her running, I noticed a large vacuum leak under the TPS corner of the TBI. I used fresh gaskets on both sides of the adapter. I can spray carb cleaner at the leak, and nearly choke the engine out. Its a big leak. I pulled the gasket, and noticed that there is a "port" on the bottom of the TBI leading that direction... but the gasket doesn't seal the entire port.

Can anyone help me out with this one? Also, the throttle response is real poor as well.
