thanks. i owe most of that to the cars history.

the orignal owner ordered the car, took it to the dealer regularly, and kept it up very well. the 2nd owner had it for 2 months, then i got it.

it wasnt horrably abused.... until i got it.. lol..

ive never owned a car i floor so often..

pic of the dyno chart coming soon as i get one that stays in focus.

big pics can be seen here:

http://josh.swoca.net/board/mrdude/Dyno/

first run: as it drove onto the dyno. athough it hit the speed limiter on the end.

so i reached under and disconnected the VSS plug.
i think thats the reason for the "chop" seen in the 2nd run:

in anycase, im happy. my engine is strong (strong as it should be for what it is) and my tranny seems to be working great.

looks like the engine goes way rich at about 4400. Good numbers though. They can be improved a lot too with a little work.

Nice, good numbers for a stock auto L03. That's about 190 flywheel hp.

or to look at it another way...

its 170hp with only 11% drivetrain loss.

all depends on how you look at it.

if you hold the power constant, the drivetrain loss changes
if you hold the drivetrain loss constant, the power goes up.

in anycase, its still slow. but a good baseline to start from.

True, but you lose a percentage of the whole, not a set number. for an auto the average is about 20% I believe and that would put you right at 190 flywheel hp. Good baseline, I agree.

Axle/Gears: It's a volvo?
hah, i was just gonna say those numbers are pretty pathetic for an LS1 engine.

But then I looked at the date and then everything began to clear up.

mine dyno'd at 153hp and 237 trq before a full much needed tuneup and some other little things but, it also ran real rich imo on our schools mustang chassis dyno, afr was from 10.9 to 11.4 definetly to rich for my tastes.....
