When do I need a chip?

hi,

I was just reading a little bit in TBIChips an now I'm asking myself, when do I need a custom chip!?
If you would follow that list I think you have to summarize point 4-6? because I don't think that it make sense, to burn a chip everytime you make a change. especially for me here in germany!
I think these are the three big steps which wouldn't work witout proper chip burning.

do you agree or am I talking bs

IMO you should burn your own chips. I dont really think its necessary till you do heads/cam (some even run LT1 cams w/o chip changes). IMO that's stupid I would start burning my own chips when my car was stock........
If I had TBI

You dont really need to start burning chips until you have a cam, although I dont think anyone would discourage you if you started when your car was bone stock.

i would def. start burning your own chips as soon as you can!

i have noticed alot of improvment, in just doing some small things like working on getting the fuel/timing improved. it really is well worth it to start with your stock setup, and learn as you go, jumping in to a cam/head swap will be very overwhelming if you haven' t tuned at all before.
