Emergency
I took off my fuel meter assembly on my dual tbi 305. I have verry little time before it gets dark so please anyone help me with some info NOW!!!.
I want to adjust my fuel pressure and there is a metal cylinder on the bottom of the assembly opposite the injector cover. IT has a rectangular cutout with a notch that is attatched to a spring.
Every time i want to push the notch up to tighten spring( increase press) it goes back to original position. How do I keep it from going down???or how to make it adjustabke???
* i also need to know part number for the injector cover gasket and the other one that the fuel comes from because i put everything on without gaskets and I had a big leak. By the way I lost the gaskets.

Theres a tech article on this site, you drill out the plug at the bottom of the cylinder, then cut a notch in the screw. Then its adjustible via a slotted screw driver.

There is a tech article on how to do it at
https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/tbi-afpr.shtml
A better CF-specific article, with pictures, appears here:
http://www.crossfire.homeip.net:81/c...ID=18&CAT_ID=1
And the gaskets you hosed are probably listed at the CF vault too if you search for them.

oh thanks soo much you people saved my life. I was reading this firebird manual and it was like 3:30 am then I stopped by a page with the fuel diagram. At this time I also had the injector pod(cover) in my hand because I removed it that day and there was a dust seal on the bottom which according to the diaram was just a dust seal and no fuel goes in it. Then i was thinking there was probably those screws on the other side that are round and have no notch. SO thanks for the input people. I guess I will drill through that dust seal and punch in a notch with a small chisel and then Ill adjust away. THanks.

YES I FINALLY DID IT!!!HOORAY!!!
Ya I finally made the fpr adjustable. However not the way I first thought like in the above post but the way where you take apart the loaded spring and hacksaw a notch. Well I set quite a bit (i set it to a bit more than halfway up the notches travel. I hope this isn't too high. However I do not have a fuel pressure I guage so I guess setting it more than halfway should be sufficient, if it was all the way up then I would probably be worried but I guess its good now.

What you will want to do is... Take the injector pod off the trottle-body, then hook up your lines as normal, then turn key on, and jumper your fuel pump on at the relay (a test light works great). You need a pressure gauge for this.
If you have no gauge, I've found that with the screw almost all the way up it gives about 15 psi, as oppposed to the stock 11 psi.

thanks for the reply lowc1500.
I guess I should be safe then judging how all the way up is 15 and the stock( just below halfway) is 11. I have it in between full and halfway so I hope this is enough for my full exhaust, headers, open element and other little mods.
