help with Chip swap/test

Alright...I picked up a chip off a guy for cheep cheep since as I start to get into chip burning/tuning using the various applications which are out there I figured it would be good to have an extra chip outside of the car to work with.

Now......I thought this afternoon that I would try droping the new chip I have in and see what/if anything she does, and everything went well......but I did notice that my Service Engine Soon light flashes quickly now.....not the type of flash when you pull codes...much faster. I was told that the chip was from Cop Car w a 350. The car seems to run ok....with the exception of off the line where she seems to stumble a little bit and then she goes (kinda like when your timing isnt really right)

Now is this normal (the SES light) and is it something which will go away.....does anyone know as to why its flashing like that??? Well I know why its flashing like that (because I changed the chip)....but does anyone have any explination as to what is happening with the computer to cause it to do that???

Thansk,
Dave

Oh ya btw...I dont think this will make much of a difference but in terms of the car....she is currently a L03 with an L98 Cam, stock injectors, Headers/cat/y-pipe and your usual smaller things like underdrive pullies, smog & AC delete etc..

To come shortly......Carb intake, 65 pph injectors, cat back system.

No its not ok. There is somthing wrong with the chip or the ECM and your car is in limp home mode. Check the chip for a bent leg first. put your old chip back in and see if the ses light goes away.

I put the old chip back in and all is good......I was out for about a 45 min drive and she was fine.

As for a bent peg on my "new one'.....no thats not the case. Could it be that its just not compatable with my ecm???

I dont know what the codes mean on the chip but this is exactly what it says on the chip

Delco
AXFF
AXFF
0233

and on the back of it it says the following:
EB4(F)/J6/p
LSIA04975A
AB25

Does this make any sense to anyone......and should this thing work with my ECM. Honestly I dont really care if the readingson the chip work with my current computer just as long as I can "re-burn it" as I start to get into that sorta stuff...that way I have a 2nd chip to stort of play around with.

Thanks,
Dave

I had the same problem with a chip i ordered.i found that the problem was that the chip just wasnt seated in right, so i adjusted some of the pegs, and moved it around some and it has worked since then.
