pre-87 heads
Wassup fellas?
I'm thinkin about gettin the S/R torquers, but the pre-87 heads. This would save me about $50 for the manifold, $20 dollars for the heads themselves, and about $100 dollars for the roller rockers.
Question is: Do the pre-87 heads have the egr provisions? As u can see, im from los angeles, so i need to be smog legal and have all the egr crap.
Also, what kinda mods/adjustments would i have to make to make these heads fit my 92? WHat would i have to do to the edelbrock perfomer manifold (the one foe pre-87 heads, w/ egr)?
Thanks,
KD

Y would i have to port matchthe intake manifold? Its designed for earlier heads? Excuse my ignorance, i dont know much about head and manifold designs, jus learning
You should port match the heads to the intake since then the ports will match and that way you will make the most power out of that intake and head combination. If you didn't port match it wont be a big deal it's just you wont see the most power out of your combination. Every little bit counts.
