without a doubt, heads/cam.

or where you talking basic bolt on stuff? if so, headers/catback. and then gears/posi.

45 more cubes is also a nice mod

hey bud, you ask a non specific question, you get a non-specific answer.

also, i see know where in you sig does it say anything about gears/posi.

or a 350, or head, or cam. so the only thing you have on the things i listed is exaust.

but apparently you don't want/need my help, so i will just seize to respond.

With the mods you have now you will deffinately benifit from gears and posi plus some other suspension upgrades. After that, then I would look into a cam swap. Your car will thank you if you get a cam after you have some gears and traction.

There is no way you hit 150 in a stock heads/cam 305. Even if you had the speed limiter removed (115mph) it would take some serious mods to reach 150. Not to mention the scary factor on 10+ year old suspension. My '95 Z only tops out at 140-150 range and that has just a few more poneys than a basic 305. My full bolt on 305 TBI could handle those speeds with the suspension and tires but she could barely reach the limiter in fourth gear (T5). Even if I had the limiter removed I would bet that she would have topped out at 125, only after the longest straightaway ever.

That's very doubtful your friend's speedo must be off or something. Even if you could get that camaro up that fast you would NOT want to because if you did more than once I'm sure you wouldn't be too happy when the suspension starts giving out at 145mph.

You can do the free ultimate TBI mods listed in the tech section of this site. If I were you I would spend some money on some suspension. You can do almost a full suspension for 600-800 bucks. Then I would look into a head/cam/custom prom combo. This is th eorder I did my mods in and I was very happy with the way I did them.

And also, you may want to look into why your speedo is so off. I am assuming that you do not have a 85/110 mph speedo so how can you tell how fast you are going. And maybe you have 3.73's like your buddy and your calibration is way off. Do you have a custom Prom to rid you of the limiter?

They are very easy and you only need simple tools. All you need to radius the TBI unit is a dremel and a cutting wheel/grinding bit. You cut that .25" lip off of around the throttle bores, grind a rough radius in the edge, and sand it smooth with some sand paper. The fuel pressure mod is adequatly described as well in that article in the tech section.

3.42 gears. Higher stall torque converter also. You lose a lot of power in the 2.73s

Ohh yeah-My car starts getting scary when its above 110...You're plain out crazy to go above that without any suspension work...Also hope you have a real good set of tires.

Good luck.

It looks cool and minimal HP/TQ gains but it is a free mod. I didn't notice much of anything when I did it to mine, but I was trying to lean out my mixture.

It doesn't do much for a stock 305 but add a cam and heads and it will help feed the motor. It all adds up. If you go huge on a cam you will need a TBI unit with 2" bores and the ultimate mods won't yield high enough results.

Exactly what I wished I had done, had my vortec TBI manifold bored out to 2" and put on a holley TBI base before I did the motor swap.
