I would do a lot of other modifications before adding nitrous. I'm planning on adding a set of heads and then a 125 or 150 shot and hope for 11s. Then it's time for a new engine. But seriously, for the money it costs to do a nitrous kit the right way you can do a lot of other mods that help just about as much. Personaly I am going to go with a Nitrous Express kit, in my opinion they are a lot higher quality than the NOS kits. Instead of doing a nitrous kit I would add these: Full exhaust including headers, gears and posi, intake, ultimate tbi mods, suspension work, cam, and lighten it up as much as you can. Then after you do that or atleast some of that look for a nitrous kit.
That's what I would do anyways.

1. i dont think anyone makes a TBI N20 kit for our cars..... IMO, one would suck with the stock intake manifold anyway... it doesnt flow too well and isnt that consistant about how much fuel in what ratio makes it to each cyl... the backs are always running a lil lean..... so lets say a small shot like a 50 shot... the back gets the equiv of a 20 while the middle gets a much larger one...

and they do make a kit for tbi i believe nos makes the kit..havent check nitrous express. its in summitt for crying out loud..

I was gonna say the same thing, but you beat me to it. Nitrous is probably the single best thing you can do to tbi. IT LOVES IT! Most people who use it seem to drop about 2 whole seconds with a 100 shot or bigger. The stock intake manifold is fine and actually flows pretty good, or atleast good for the heads that are on the car. I believe zrated ran a 12.8 at about 106 or so with his 305 tbi with stock heads, etc. I think he has the NX tbi nitrous kit. He now has a lot more mods and I am dying to see what he can do now. Camaroracer92 ran a 13.1 on a 125 shot with his stock heads, stock cam, stock rockers, stock torque converter, etc. 305 tbi. He had the NOS tbi nitrous kit. There is no doubt in my mind that you could get a stock bottom end 305 tbi into the 11's or maybe even knocking on 10's doors with a little juice.

this is just my opinion, but i would feel much safer with a diff (4bbl carb) intake with a std carb plate style wetshot and a TBI adapter plate on top......
in anycase. i bet some juice would really wake up the sleepy l03.... its dying for some air...

Carb plate and tbi adaptor commands a cowl hood, as the stock hood barely shuts with the Holley adaptor. That said, NX said they could fit a spray bar inside the Holley adaptor which would be a trick piece. I nearly pulled the trigger on that then I blew my money on other useless stuff.

you have the holley tbi-to-carb manifold adaptor plate too? doesnt that bastard suck ***. it sets the tbi either one inch forward or one inch futher back letting your damn air cleaner sit ontop of the plug wires, ...i opted for it being 1 inch forward, got the adjusting throttle/tv/cruise bracket, cut some fuel lines, re routed, and it was great! now why the hell wasnt it centered over the middle, i have no clue. i think i saw a random adapter plate that is actually centered correctly, not sure where though. i am no help.
