tbi prom burning...

i have an lt1 cam and i am in the next few weeks (along with a budy of mine) going to learn how to burn my own chips.
now i am currently running rich at idle so would it be better to go ahead and do the vafpr or would it be better just to burn a new chip.
also can't i attach a fitting onto the stock fpr and run a vacumn line into the intake somewhere?

id say skip the vafpr. Since your probably not going to be using large injectors, having to worry about the pulse widths becoming too short at idle isnt really an issue so it probably wont be neccessary.

I too say skip the vacAFPR unless you need it. A classic example of need is running 4 barrel TBI or a stock 305 bin on a 300+hp 350 or 383.
