it would do ok. The 88/89 l98 cams have some pretty decent specs for stock stuff. IIRC the 90-92's where a little smaller. Just about anything made out of cast iron with some bumps on it will do better then the stock cam. If you have it already and you dont mind spending some time to put it in it would be worth it. If you dont have the cam then maybe a later model lt1 cam or similar efi friendly roller would be a better choice.

I believe it is a dyno proven 20 rwhp on an L03 with stock heads.

Is there any dyno info on the late model lt-1 cam? 20 hp is not to shabby though.

I picked up somewhere ~18 rwhp with a L98 cam and some other minor parts. The L98 cam actually idles quieter than the stock cam, which I think is due to the lobe seperation IMO. The car will need computer tuning to get it running well again after and cam swap. Just something to consider.

L98 cam and some tuning gained me .3 sec and 3 mph in 1/4. Basically the car lost some low end torque (below 3000 rpm) and gained HP above ~4000 rpm IIRC. Search for dyno graphs and LO3 that should fine my dyno before and after.

it would work well for you. Like said above, youll want to consider burning a prom but you could probably get away without it, depending on how the car runs. Oh, youll definatly want to upgrade teh exaust at the very least. Lower ratio gearset would be nice as well but not absolutly necessary.

The only thing to change may be the dowel pin - may need to be shorted... Of course your block/lifters/dist. gear must be "roller friendly"...
