more air flow

has any one thought of removing the collar between the tbi and your open element if equiped. seemed a little restricted to me so i tossed it put my open element back with no iterfearence with anything. seemed smart thought i might share it. hell you might have already thought about it.

Sooooo, Any performance gain? I knocked out the collar in my stock air cleaner and felt a differance but didn't realize the spacer was under the air cleaner till last night myself I guess that's why I couldn't get another air cleaner to fit under my hood. You would think I'd be smarter than that at my age!!!

well that plus my miner tbi mods i can now run the rpms up to about 2500 mash the throttle and bark tires not bad for a stock lo3 with no internal mods i thought, also the car will actually pull strong to about 5500 rpms now. i was impressed.:lala:

be careful you don't blow it up!!! also that is on the ultimate tbi mods list! i just tossed the whole pan and bought a flat base for 10 bucks from an autoparts store and i bought a kn xtreme lid with a 14x3 open element filter. you can really hear it suck in when you rev it!!!
but you also have to remove the fire insulation from under the hood!!! my xtreme lid was sucking on it and choking . you could see the imprint in the insulation!!!
