Ok guys, I'm having this small problem.. Actually it's fairly large.
I was drving the other day (this has happened 3 times now) doing 70 on a highway when my rpm's just drop.
When the RPM drops if I mash the gas I can gt them to bounce up just a little and then they fall again (almost as if I ran out of gas it seems)
I know it's not low gas because it'll happen at many various times, and it did it 3 gallons into a tank of gas most recently.
IF I put the car in neutral it starts right back up again.

I've had a couple things that might be problematic...

1) I've had this wierd vibration at certain rpm's. It's near my feet and I'm lead to believe that it's the exhaust rattling. So I don't think this is the issue.

2) I've had ticking noise as I accel.. I thought this was an exhaust leak from bolts loosining on my headers, but maybe this noise is my injectors?


I'm not sure what's wrong, but I'm lead to believe that somewhere in the fuel system I'm having some problem.. Either pump filter or injectors... What do you guys think it is?
Perhaps it's time to invest in that new TBI and all the rest of the fuel system to go with it..

 

i would start by checking fuel pressure while driving the car.
