305 still no power

Hi!
I have some questions about the 305.
Can my cam be a little to much for my tpi heads.
I am now running whith 65pph injectors and still running a little rich even after a lot of tuning, can it be a good idea putting on a carb intake and put these injectors on a 670 tb.
My car has no low end power but pulls quet strong up to 5500rpm.
I am also thinking of getting a 350 swap rigth away what mods can I use in that case.
Thanks for all replays.

Look at my sig for current mods.

You could use a little better head than the TPi head but that combo should still run okay with that cam. It sounds like you need more gear more stall and more tuning. That cam likes to rev so that is whay you feel the great pull but you are starting with 3.23 gears and stock stall. A larger TBI unit with a carb intake will help power develop throughout the powerband, especially up top, but you need to solve your low RPM problems first.

Ok!
But what do you think of swap this combo on a 350 from a van or a trunk.
I dont think that I will be pleased whith the 305,what do you think my power gain will be if I put it in a 350 instead.
And how far can I pull the rpm in my 305 before the engine starts to take damage.
I havent gone over 5500 yet.
Thanks

Well a 350 will always yeild more power in the long run, but for now you can get some very streetable power out of your 305. If you have the right valve train to support your cam you can rev to the limits of the cam. Some cams can rev to 6500rpm and others fall flat at 5500rpm. If you have the right valve train to take that amount of rpm than you won't damage anything. Getting a 350 from a truck or van would be okay excetp some of them didn't come with roller blocks like your 305 did. Roller set-ups are better and you can transfer all of your parts from your 305 over. Whatever you go with you will need to tune. So really a 350 is just as easy as the 305. With the power you want, given the proper tuning, you can run 14's all day with the 305 and low 13's with a 350. The key here is proper tuning. Building the motor is no big deal. Tuning it to put out the numers it should is the hard part. TBI of course.
