Is a chip any good and what is the difference between a hp and a tbi chips.what stage is the best

Your own is best. DIY or go carb, or find a friend or local guy, PM him if he would mind helping you out. More often than not you can get somebody to do hands on tuning with you. It's more likely to happen if you get a hold of the burning equipment yourself. It's a great hobby but dangerous. I don't like mail order chips only because I've looked "inside" and can tell you know that there isn't anything good no matter what the stage or price. Either you're on a dyno and getting it tuned with a wideband or you're with somebody that does there own, that's my opinion and so far my proof is lots of sucess stories. Nobody that I've tuned a chip for has been slower or had tuning related engine problems but again, I ONLY do this for people I know from handshakes.
Good luck with the stage mail order chips.
