oil pressure at idle???

Well I just noticed today while I was at a stop light my oil pressure dropped to around 25. When I hit the gas the pressure goes up to around 50-60 depending on how much gas I give it. While in park at idle, the pressure is right around 30 which seems right. SO my question is, does 25 sound too low??? Or is that normal for being in gear at idle? thanks for all the help.

I think 25 is standard for the 305. GM made it low for emmsions and a few other stupid reasons. You will see higher pressure at idle in a 350.

10psi for every 1000 RPMs is the general rule IIRC, 25 at idle is more then enough...

Dont feel bad, mine drops to 0 at about 600RPM or less. Its pretty cool sitting at a red light with 0 PSI and not realy being concerned(spare motor).
