When the shop broke mine replacing my fuel pump they used a cold welding compound similar to JB weld to fix it, though I have no idea exactly what compound this was... if you want to weld it, though, a remove/replace on the tank is about 6-8 hours.. gotta half-way drop the rear axle.. remove fuel pump assembly, fill tank with water, and weld away... and make sure you drain and force-dry the tank afterwards (and not with a hair drier)

My filler neck developed a pin hole where the neck connects to the tank when I replaced my fuel pump. I removed the tank, (again) and used a JB weld type of epoxy, which held for a month or so. Well, I removed the tank, (AGAIN - #%$^&&*@$) and took it to a radiator shop. This guy soldered the crap out of it, and now it's not going anywhere.

F bodies had a recall for pinholes in the filler neck years ago.
Mine was always fine, but I believe if your year is covered, they have to fix it.
Not sure how to find out what years were affected.
Anybody have any more info on this?
I'll post more info if I can find it.
