As long as it isn't higher in the middle than any other air cleaner, it should work.

Says recesesed base. Im guessing its the same as drop base, so i would say no. go with a non-drop base

If you keep the spacer in place from your old air cleaner, a drop base should work. You just have to be careful about where our coil is mounted.

Don't see why it wouldn't fit, just keep the spacer ring in place. I used a drop base for a while with the spacer in place and it fit fine with no interference. I have since gone to a flat base.

I would buy a regular open elemet and buy an aftermarket black lid. That is your best bet to get the look you want. You will not even be able to see the lower portion that is chrome. And even if that bothers you, you could always paint the bottom. ProForm makes a nice carbon fiber look lid. Look in your jegs catalog under "dress up."

Any open elemet will perform about the same. One with a K&N will probably yield a few more ponies. That one that you picked should fit. You may have distributor clearance problems. I used a .5" TBI spacer to raise my open element off of my distributor. I did not get a non drop base and that is why I had the problems that i did.

Unfortunately nobody can tell you “Yes it will fit your car.”

When new cars are assembled, there is a margin of error that is allowed. If the hood-to-stock-air cleaner allowance is + or – 1/4", then that leaves ½" of variance. Same with the coil-to-air cleaner clearance.

Then you have the margin of error from the company that produces the air cleaner..... do you see where I’m going with this?

All we can tell you is “It worked on my car.”, or “It should work on your car.”

The only way to really find out is try it.

Sorry to ignore your question..... yes our TB is 5-1/8".
